RHYTHM, GROOVE, ENERGY AND PERSONALITY
Hip Hop Grooves (Beginner Friendly) Want to try Hip Hop but don’t know where to start? This class is for you! The culture behind the beat: Hip Hop was born in the streets of the Bronx, New York, in the 1970s as a form of expression, peaceful release, and community unity. This global movement is built around four core elements: DJing (rhythm and beats) MCing / Rap (words and street poetry) Graffiti Art (visual expression on the walls) Breaking / Dance (physical expression that we’ll explore together!)
What will we do in class? In a fully supportive and fun environment, we break down the movements step by step. We focus on proper technique, body control, and musicality. We learn the basic concepts of street dance (bouncing, isolation, grooves) and build a strong sense of rhythm through safe and guided practice. No previous experience is required — just bring your smile and your sneakers!
